WHAT ARE PDO THREADS ?

Polydioxanone is a a non-permanent, fully absorbable suture that has been used for more than 20 years in orthopedics, surgery, plastic surgery and ophthalmology.

PDO Threads have a high safety profile, complete absorption and minimal tissue reaction. PDO threads fixate to tissue to help treat the areas of concern and promote healthy skin.

HOW LONG CAN PDO THREADS LAST?

PDO Threads begin to naturally dissolve after about 6 to 8 months. The effects will become more pronounced and natural over time, and can last up to 24 months.

HOW COMFORTABLE IS THE PROCEDURE?

An injectable numbing agent will be applied to the area being treated to minimize any pain and maximize patient comfort. Most patients can return to their normal activities within 24 hours. Minor inflammation and bruising may occur in the first few days, but this usually resolves after a week or so.
